Guarani Antonio Franco

Club Guaraní Antonio Franco: is an Argentine football club from the city of Posadas, Misiones. On June 12, 1932, a group of young people from the Posaden neighborhood of Villa Sarita, after the disappearance of the Sportivo Colombo club, suggestion of Antonio Franco, Public Health nurse, met in their warehouse located in Ivanowski and Ayacucho, the latter street currently called Ángel Acuña, and they decided to found a club. At the suggestion of Dr. Pablo Osvaldo Ruiz, director of Public Assistance, where Antonio Franco worked, the name of Guaraní was adopted, in tribute to the indigenous people of Misiones.
